There are many things private clients use our chauffeur service in London to attend, from business meetings to major public and sporting events, with the latter including summer highlights like Wimbledon and Royal Ascot.
However, for many one of the great highlights of a trip to London will be to take in a Premier League football match. For that reason, those planning a visit will have joined millions of others in eagerly awaiting the publication of next season’s fixture schedule.
Now the details have been revealed, plans can be made for the season ahead. Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, West Ham and Crystal Palace remain part of the list, while Brentford’s first experience of Premier League football saw them finish in a creditable mid-table position last term. This year, another promoted team in west London, Fulham, will be hoping to consolidate their position.
The very first match of the season will feature two London clubs as Crystal Palace host Arsenal on Friday August 5th, while the following day sees Fulham host last year’s Premier League runners up Liverpool and Tottenham starting their campaign at home to Southampton. Sunday 7th sees another exciting game as West Ham play champions Manchester City.
London’s other clubs will get to host their first games a week later. On the weekend of August 13th-14th, Arsenal will welcome Leicester City to the Emirates Stadium, Brentford play Manchester United and Chelsea take on Tottenham at Stamford Bridge.
Of course, this is just the start of what the season has to offer, with Chelsea and Tottenham both playing in the Champions League, while Arsenal will feature in the Europa League and West Ham will be in the UEFA Conference League.
It will be a unique season with a break in November and December as the World Cup takes place in Qatar, but there will also be chances to see England at Wembley, including a game against Germany in the Nations League on September 26th and in European Championship qualifiers later in the year.
Whichever team you want to watch, there will be lots of great football to see in London in the new season.
